In 2021, our family relocated to Colorado, excited to begin a new chapter in what we thought would be our dream home. But shortly after settling in, we noticed troubling changes in our 4-year-old daughter, Skylar.<\/p>\n
She developed an intense fear of germs and began obsessively washing her hands. This soon escalated into emotional outbursts, repetitive behaviors, extreme sensitivity to sounds and textures, and overwhelming anxiety. While doctors initially brushed it off as typical childhood anxiety, we sensed something deeper was going on.<\/p>\n
After extensive research, we discovered a condition called PANS\/PANDAS\u2014Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome\u2014which matched Skylar\u2019s symptoms almost exactly.<\/p>\n
Getting effective treatment was a challenge. Traditional approaches didn\u2019t help, so we decided to explore homeopathy.<\/p>\n
In October 2021, we began a homeopathic treatment plan. To our relief, Skylar started to improve. Subsequent blood tests revealed she had brain inflammation, likely triggered by exposure to mold. We had our home inspected and, sure enough, hidden black mold was found.<\/p>\n
The remediation process was intense\u2014we had to gut and rebuild three bathrooms, fumigate the house, and deep clean everything. It was a costly, exhausting journey that deeply impacted our family.<\/p>\n
By March 2022, we moved back in. Although Skylar had a brief reaction, it was much milder than before.<\/p>\n
We made a few adjustments to her homeopathic regimen, which proved highly effective. Now, two years later, Skylar is a thriving, joyful 7-year-old.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re sharing our experience to raise awareness about hidden environmental dangers\u2014like mold\u2014and how they can affect children’s health. Many kids may be misdiagnosed due to limited understanding of conditions like PANS\/PANDAS.<\/p>\n
