He kept his eyes on the road and said nothing. The car crept up to 45 mph.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t try to change my mind,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019ve been seeing your best friend, and he\u2019s a much better lover than you.\u201d<\/p>\n

His hands tightened around the wheel. The speedometer reached 55 mph.<\/p>\n
