I\u2019d worked there for twelve years, fixing reports nobody else wanted to touch. Greg knew I was good at my job, but he seemed to enjoy embarrassing me in front of coworkers. When he announced the retreat, he looked straight at me and joked that \u201creal team players don\u2019t hide.\u201d<\/p>\n

I almost stayed home. Instead, I arrived with a folder of comments I\u2019d written down over the years. Greg started mocking me as soon as he saw me, so I picked up the event microphone and repeated his remarks in front of the team.<\/p>\n

For once, nobody laughed. Sarah stepped forward and described the comments he\u2019d made about her clothes. Mark told everyone how Greg called him \u201cthe dinosaur,\u201d even in front of clients. When Greg tried to dismiss us, the head of HR promised an investigation.<\/p>\n
