My date immediately ordered a pricey appetizer, steak, and drink, then spent the evening laughing and taking calls on her phone. It became obvious she wasn\u2019t interested in knowing me\u2014she just wanted a free meal.<\/p>\n

When she stepped away, the waitress quietly offered to separate our checks. Relieved, I agreed.<\/p>\n
