At 2 a.m., I heard him whisper, \u201cI won\u2019t let Grandma do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ben revealed that my mother-in-law, Diane, deliberately woke Brenda at night until she cried. She wanted us to believe raising her would be unbearable\u2014and had even asked relatives if they would take her.<\/p>\n
