Every parent\u2019s greatest wish is for their children to be healthy and happy. When Karen Rodas and Paul Bybkin welcomed their son Nathaniel, their joy was short-lived. Nathaniel passed away after just 36 hours due to Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), which leads to kidney failure.<\/p>\n
In 2013, they had a daughter, Maddy, who was also born with PKD. Her condition caused her tummy to swell, resembling a 9-month pregnancy. However, Maddy received a life-saving kidney transplant from her father, Paul, after spending much of her early life in and out of hospitals. The surgery was a success, and both Maddy and Paul recovered well.<\/p>\n
Karen expressed immense gratitude, saying Maddy now has boundless energy and is a happy, healthy 2-year-old. Paul, humbly, believed donating his kidney was just part of being a parent. While Maddy may need another transplant in 25 years, she now has a bright future ahead.<\/p>\n
