The Original Poster (OP), a mother of three, was once married to a man named Jake, now 53 years old.<\/p>\n
The former couple welcomed daughter, Kyle, 18, and sons Karter, 21, and Knox 25 together.<\/p>\n
When OP was pregnant with the duo\u2019s third child, things turned awry.<\/p>\n
Their marriage crumbled when Jake had an affair with his much younger assistant, Abigail, then an 18-year-old college freshman.<\/p>\n
The affair led to a pregnancy and, ultimately, OP\u2019s decision not to reconcile.\u00a0 Abigail later gave birth to a daughter named Lizzie.<\/p>\n
As a result, OP\u2019s decision to divorce the father of her kids paved the way for Abigail and Jake\u2019s marriage and the birth of two more children, further complicating the family structure.<\/p>\n
OP details the limited involvement Jake had in their children\u2019s lives post-divorce, offering child support and infrequent visits, but rarely engaging in meaningful ways.<\/p>\n
