My Husband and His Mistress Accidentally Got Into My Taxi So I Gave the Cheater an Anniversary He’ll Never Forget — Story of the Day

I used to think having Jason in my life was a blessing.

When we met, I had a great job, a nice apartment in Brooklyn, and my five-year-old son, Jamie. Jason was charming but homeless. I let him move in, against my friend’s warnings, because he treated Jamie like his own.

I helped him get a job, and soon he was thriving — new clothes, new car — and then he proposed. He told me to quit my job and focus on Jamie. I trusted him.

But after I stopped working, everything changed. He became distant, critical of Jamie, and money stopped flowing. So I started working nights as a taxi driver while Jason claimed to be away on business.

One night, I picked up a couple — Jason and another woman. They didn’t recognize me. I listened in silence as they planned a future together built on lies. He told her he’d leave me once I got my inheritance. That weekend was also our anniversary.

I played along, pretending I knew nothing. Then, on Saturday, I dressed up, took Jamie with me, and crashed the backyard party at her house. Her parents were shocked when I introduced myself — Jason’s wife.

I exposed everything. Their plans, his lies, our marriage, and our son. Chaos broke out. Jason stood speechless. I handed him my wedding ring and walked away with Jamie, never looking back.

Months later, her parents testified at our divorce hearing. With their help and the recordings from my job, I won everything. Jason was left with nothing.

Now, I live by the coast with Jamie and my mother. It’s peaceful, honest, and ours. And I finally understand — peace is the real luxury.
