The Nanny, the Photo, and the 7AM Call: Two Chilling Warnings I Almost Missed

My boss scheduled a mandatory video call for 7 a.m. Everyone joined, cameras on — but he never appeared. After 20 minutes, HR ended it. Later, we got an email: he’d died in his sleep. I assumed the meeting was scheduled before he passed… until I checked the invite.

It had been sent at 9:12 a.m. — after his death — from his account, with the subject: “Please be on time.” IT said it was probably a glitch or a hack, but I still get chills thinking about it.

We also hired a nanny — quiet, 24. My 7-year-old son grew incredibly attached. He’d melt down when she wasn’t around. Yesterday, I found a laminated photo of him in her bag. Sweet, I thought — until I turned it over. Two words were written in marker: “MY son.

I planned to ask her about it during her next visit, but that night, I got a call from another mom:
“That nanny — she’s dangerous. She worked for us last year, became obsessed with my child… seduced my husband. Please, fire her before it’s too late.”

My heart sank. I let her go immediately. She sobbed, saying it was all a lie. But I couldn’t let her stay another minute.
