My MIL Constantly Ate All My Food and My Husband Defended Her – I Was Fed up and Taught Them Both a Lesson

After my fourth baby, I was exhausted and starving most days. My MIL Wendy made it worse by constantly raiding my kitchen—drinking my coffee, eating my meals, and even grabbing food I’d just cooked. My husband Harry brushed it off, always defending her. The breaking point came when I made pizzas for everyone. I came downstairs hungry, only to find Harry and Wendy had eaten mine—and even the plate my son had saved for me.
That’s when I set a trap. I labeled everyone’s containers, left Harry and Wendy’s empty, and put a camera on the fridge. My own box was filled with a meal “seasoned” with a mild laxative. Sure enough, Wendy stormed in, mocked the labels, and ate it. Forty minutes later, she was running to the bathroom. I posted the footage online with the caption: “Boundaries matter.”
Now Wendy knocks, brings her own food, and hasn’t touched mine since. Even Harry’s finally learned to cook. Sometimes, the only way to teach people respect is to let the consequences hit harder than your words ever could.
