When a pastor’s wife was expecting, he asked the congregation for a raise. They agreed that his salary would grow with each new child.
After six kids, the congregation worried about the cost and debated it loudly. The pastor finally said, “Children are gifts from God, and we will accept as many as He gives.”
A little old lady stood and added, “Rain is a gift too, but when there’s too much, we wear rubbers.” The congregation responded, “Amen.”
