When my husband Danny demanded we have a sixth child just to have a son, I knew I had to teach him a lesson. We already had five wonderful daughters, and his ultimatum felt unfair.
The next day, I left for my late mother’s country house, turned off my phone, and watched the chaos unfold at home through our cameras. Danny struggled to get the girls dressed, fed, and ready, burning toast, spilling juice, and being pulled in every direction. The house was a disaster, and he was completely overwhelmed.
By the second day, he was begging me to come back. When I returned, Danny apologized and promised to stop pressuring me and to be more involved with the children. From then on, he came home earlier, helped with homework, bedtime, and even learned to braid hair!
The experience brought us closer. Danny learned to cherish the family we already had, and I found the strength to stand up for myself and our daughters. Our home filled with laughter, love, and true appreciation for one another.
