My Pregnant Mom Was Forced to Work Until She Collapsed—Three Days After We Lost the Baby, Her Supervisor Came to Our Door, and Then a Black SUV Pulled Up

My mom was nine months pregnant when severe pain struck during her warehouse shift. Her supervisor warned that leaving for the hospital would mean losing her job, so she continued working until she collapsed.
At the hospital, she received devastating news: she had lost her baby.
Three days later, the supervisor appeared at our home, called her lazy, and demanded her work badge. Suddenly, a black SUV pulled up, and the company owner stepped out.
After investigating, he fired the supervisor, delivered Mom’s bereavement pay, and offered to cover the funeral expenses.
“You should never have been forced to choose between your baby and your paycheck,” he told her.
His kindness couldn’t erase the tragedy, but it reminded us that even after unimaginable cruelty, someone can still choose to do what is right.
