What I Thought Was Love

I recently found out my boyfriend was married. Weeks of arguments followed, then I discovered I was pregnant. His wife, Nadia, called me—not to yell, but to meet “woman to woman.” At a quiet café, she calmly explained she was leaving him and warned me about his manipulation. Before leaving, she handed me a letter he’d written, full of lies and half-truths. I ripped it up and focused on the baby.

Weeks later, another woman reached out—also hurt by him. We shared stories, found solidarity, and I learned to protect myself and my child.

I gave birth to my daughter, Liana, surrounded by support, love, and strength. I never let him back in, chose independence, and even started a small business.

Pain became resilience. Heartbreak became hope. Liana is my proof that love grows even from the deepest wounds.
